The Great Western Hotel is focused on delivering an excellent Bed and Breakfast service and is situated within walking distance of the city centre and all of its amenities. Whether you need a long term stay whilst working within the city or a short term break, we will provide you with a choice of high quality twin/double/family rooms all with ensuite facilities, warm friendly atmosphere and an excellent breakfast.

The Great Western is directly opposite Worcester Shrubhill mainline station and also within easy reach of the M5 motorway Junction 6 heading from the north and Junction 7 if heading from the south. - Either route is less than two miles from the M5. The hotel is within easy reach of the many attractions in and around the City of Worcester, namely the Cathedral, the world famous cricket ground or race course - all situated near the banks of the River Severn. The hotel itself offers a free secure car park with 24 hour cctv monitoring.

We are ideally located to become a base for sightseeing around the local area. We are within easy reach of the Malvern Hills where Edward Elgar and C.S Lewis drew their inspiration from. ‘C. S Lewis was inspired by a particular scene whilst in Malvern, he used this inspiration to create The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe story. We are also within easy reach of Herefordshire, The Cotswolds and Wales. All of which have many interesting areas to visit.

There are a mixture of galleries, museums, ancient buildings, modern shopping facilities, street cafes, river side walks and for the young and the young at heart a busy nightlife and of course Worcester Porcelain Museum and the Cathedral.
